Burgundy Patent Knee High Boots, Pointed Toe, Kitten Heel, £30

Deep burgundy patent knee high boots with a pointed toe, kitten heel and side zip. The colour is the thing with these. Not black, not red, a proper dark wine that catches the light and looks almost liquid when it moves. They come to just below the knee and they zip up tight against the calf.

They have been worn plenty. The patent is creased across the ankles where the foot bends, there is scuffing on the toes, and the heels have worn on the outside edges. The zips still run smoothly.

Knee high patent does not breathe at all. Hours inside these, sealed up, with nowhere for anything to go. Autumn and winter, worn out for whole evenings, then unzipped and left in the hallway rather than aired.

Sent unwashed and untreated. Say if you want them cleaned, though nobody ever does.

Size 5 UK. Worn regularly over several winters.
